2009 SA Sportstar of the Year Sam Willoughby is a dual junior Premiership player at Flagstaff Hill, I was Player Sponsor of him from when he started as a 12 years old until he gave up footy at Flaggies 2 years ago.

He is a definate lover of Aussie Rules footy, but knew it was gonna play havoc on his body whilst training with the Australian BMX team in Qld as well as with us. For a few years he did both. In fact he returned after getting 3rd in Brazil World Champs in 2007 to play in our U16 Premiership team.

After winning his 2nd World Champs last year he invited many of his footy mates out to celebrate with him, and came up to Presentations to present a commemorative shirt as thanks for our support to him whilst he's travelling all over the world.

As you can tell, I'm very proud of his achievements, and am glad he was recognised.

Well done 85, i bet you are proud and it must give you a lot of satisfaction knowing you had sponsored him a few years ago and to where he's at now.

Yes well done to the lad, I believe he is a Sturt supporter as well !!! Great guy all round then.
