Snapper still around
Hey Mickey J, are the Snapper still around in the Ardrossan area?, I'm thinking about having a go at them on the Monday evening of the Queens Birthday weekend, I did hear that the long liners have been around that area a few weeks back and was wondering if its worthwhile making the trip.
Re: Snapper still around
No idea PP.I haven't wet a line in a few weeks .As I understand it cica(eagles number 51 legend etc) who is a pro fisherman was catching them a few weeks back(not certain where but he is based in Pt wakefield) .And the other week according to his mum the garfish were about in large numbers.
Winter tends to keep me home damn cold .I was going to chase some trout but with footy and rain it makes it hard.

thanks Mickey, I know cicca works out of Pt W, gar, squid are always in that Pt W area and below as well as some Snapper, any way I'll give it a shot and see what happens, and if its bloody cold that night I will be packing it in until things warm up a heck of a lot.
Didnt realise they had 51 Legends at the Eagles

Re: Snapper still around
Didnt do any good on the Snapper when I went a couple of weeks back, might have to wait until August when they should be back in the area.
Did get down to Pt Turton when South had the bye, got out on 2 occasions and picked up 30 good sized whiting all between 35 and 43 cm.
