Adelaide United

Post by Talc on Mon 16 Aug 2010, 11:10 pm

Alright lads, as most of the posts on here are about the EPL I was wondering if anyone goes to the Adelaide games. Coming from England I expected the A League to be average at best with atmosphere likewise. However its a decent standard and the fans make a lot of noise (mind as my team - Darlington came 92nd of all 92 teams and relegation to the conference in the process clearly my standards arn't that high). Also there's a canny pre-match pub round the corner on port road which helps make a friday night more enjoyable.

Also for howthewestwaswon as my 2nd team is Sunderland and I noted you are Newcastle I would like to thank you in advance for the 6 points that the makems can fully expect.

Turncoat. I would never support the scum called the Victory and I am a Victorian. I love Adelaide United and I would rather see the heart do better than the Victory.

Victory member since DAY ONE. My wife and I travel to Melbourne to catch 2 games over there each season and I always see them at Hindmarsh. Why? I followed the NSL for many years as an Adelaide City supporter however I never witnessed attractive football which I also couldn't see in Adelaide United's playbook with Kosmina or Vidmar in charge. Sleep Turns out I was right...

As for NUFC, ho-hum. Expecting the drop again this season so any verbal bombs thrown my way will be taken with a pinch of salt as whatever you say, you'll probably be right! Very Happy

Enjoying the soccer at Hindmarsh this season, though why the hell do the fans behind the goal queue for ages, pay 5-6 dollars for a pint only to hoy the bloody thing in the air over everyone when they score. It's even more annoying when it's freezing. Tits!!!!!!

Looks like they finally made a good appointment in their new coach Coolen. Will be watching with interest. Not that they could drag me back from the DARK SIDE... Very Happy

Typical Melbourne Victory ...nothing but a bunch of snipers...taking out Leckie early in the game and will now miss about 2 months.

Adelaide United played probably there best of the season today in Melbourne against Melbourne Victory winning 4-1. The performance that they showed today was brilliant all over the pitch. They attacked the opposition from the very start and never once did they stop.

One of the highlights of the game was seeing Musket red carded after collecting his second yellow card and sent off. This perenial sniper is finally getting his just desserts after years of taking players out with his dirty tactics.

Yep. We were totally outplayed today and Adelaide were deserved winners. It makes the next round at Adelaide Oval very interesting indeed.

Great crowd at AAMI Park.

This should be Muscat's last season.

We might need a new coach too...I'm hoping a South American coach will hit our shores in the near future.
