Rnd 23 - Eagles v Sturt @ Woodville (Sun 5/9)

This will be a great game with the Eagles keen to bounce back from their loss while Sturt want to win to keep their spot in the finals. I saw these 2 sides at the same venue earlier in the year (the Treeby incident game) and though Sturt let themselves down with aweful kicking for goal.

I reckon they might be too good for the Eagles here...

This Sunday, The Rebels are gathering on the Western Wing of Treeby to make a surprise attack on the Eagali, Jedi Jade Sheedwalker will be leading the attack and is asking that YOU join The Rebels and help defeat the Eagali.
May the Spirit of Obi-wan-jackoatey be with you."

A wee bit worried about this game .
Eagles forward line is a big concern to me .
But Sturt haven't won at the Fortress yet so use the FORCE "GODS"
Heard it was an unpleasant two hours for the players monday night .the ball will not come out of the forward line as easy this week take my word on it

Sturts side , I hope Toby is a definate but I doubt it.

We are not known as wet weather specialists, but played a tough direct style today that gave the Eagles no time or space.

Smaller brigade did the damage with their desire to get to the contest first. The decision making in playing a simple game was very good and if kicking were straighter in the first quarter (10 behinds to nothing), then a bigger margin might have resulted.

Take 2 again next week.

Well done sturt in what was really a nothing game(either way we were playing u next week) .Take nothing away from Sturt they were far better.
Eagles were extremely poor and heads will roll this week at selection .players that should have been dropped this week will be dropped next .

BUT STURT should have had the game signed sealed and delivered at 1/4 time .Sturt could have been 11 goals to zip !!

Not 100% certain what the Eagles are upto .Grocke was a late out with soreness (do I smell a Fremantle move here ).
Eagles under18's promoted to the seconds in another nothing game.Eagles under 18's lost without some very good players !!

And the sturt Cheer squad were they at it again !!! Walking across the oval at 3/4 time .No idea what happened some sort of altercation with Weslo .1taken away and then his mate started and he got taken away .My question is why you've the game in the bag why bother to fight with anyone.Enjoy the football win !!

Good point MickyJ althoguh some people may not agree with some things weslo say to them or give them warnins about the best thing to do is agree and just get on with enjoying the football.

Then there was the little old lady who was complaining about Woodville not having lighting (other than the training lights).does Unley ? umm No so why complain I said to her.Well they are there and not being used well you need permission to turn them on.
