Re: Grand Final - Collingwood v St. Kilda
No way should there be extra time. Nick Maxwell's comments after the game were disappointing...should have just said "Well we'll battle it out again next week and look forward to it." The coaches seemed to be a little more light hearted about the situation - probably to keep the players positive.
What were the comments after the 1977 GF??
Is this not also a game of mental toughness?? Just get on with the replay.
The only other option IMO is to keep playing full-length quarters until there's a winner.

Re: Grand Final - Collingwood v St. Kilda
The AFL ALWAYS book the MCG for the week after the Grand Final in case of little things like this popping up.
I heard the Wiggles were very dissapointed they couldnt book the place for next Saturday.

agreed Maxwells comments where not good and at the end of the day doesnt matter if we agree with the rule or not thats the way its gonna be...............although i do think the rules needs reviewing.....im sure the afl would not be happy with maxwells comments....
