BK, I would go for 1 tenth of that, more money than I will ever make.

They could win the spoon for the next 5 years, but there will be some very comfortable players at the Suns financially. Not a bad way to spend the end of your career...at a club where no one expects you to do anything. No pressure to win a flag (again) anytime soon, not like the Cats or Hawks (C Brown)!

I reckon the way things are playing out, the Suns start a hell of a lot better off than Port, Freo, Crows etc.

Their concession pick ups and likely draft pickups are starting to mount up.

Will be interesting just where they are placed this time next year.

F**K the AFL and Gold Coast. I don't hate Gary Ablett Jr. He is a champion. Also I don't blame him for going. I blame the AFL for all this crap. This suns team and the GWS will Kill AFL football. So screw AFL I will still support Geelong but I will prefer watching Williamstown in the VFL more.

Looking at the bigger picture what will happen in the next few years if the Gold Coast cannot hang onto the young stars that they will draft. The Gold coast are trying to buy a team of Champions and I hope it back fires on them.

You would have a side out of Tassy and possibly NT before, you mess with rugby heartlands, that have a tenuous afl market at any time.

Well in the case of Tasmania, the Tassie Devils VFL experiment failed dismally.

The problem with Tasmania is that they are already a captive audience to VFL/AFL and always have been, so for the AFL it's a no go zone because they believe they don't have to push the game any further in that state. And of course, they're protecting the Melbourne clubs who probably have susbstantial member numbers coming from the Apple Isle.
