North coach
North coach
I read with interest in the Advertiser that one Andrew Jarman has considered applying or has applied for the North job. Surely he jest's.
He'd have no hope of a return to Prospect as the no 1 man IMO.
Josh Francou now leads the race..

Re: North coach
It wouldn't be that hard. He will have the backing of all supporters. The board would have run it by the Grog Squad.

Re: North coach
I can't comment as to his involvement with the club as I don't have any idea. Although I guess you wouldn't put your hat in the ring if you weren't committed to giving it your all.

It has to pass everyones approval at Norf and why Fancou who is he coaching at the moment? I thought they wanted a coach who has coached in the SANFL, WAFL or VFL more.

Re: North coach
It's official. (from LocalfootySA )
NORTH Adelaide has named Josh Francou as its new coach.
The Roosters made the announcement on their website this morning but it was not revealed how long Francou had signed for.
Francou, who won the 1996 Magarey Medal, will take charge of the club after the Roosters sacked Daniel Healy with a year left to run on his contract.
It is unclear who the Power team of the century member will have working alongside him in the coaches box but it is understood recently retired Rooster Heath Younie could be involved.
An Advertiser columnist, Francou played 156 AFL games for Port Adelaide from 1997 to 2005 and was recently inducted into the South Australian Football Hall of Fame.
The Roosters have been on the hunt for a new senior mentor since deciding to part ways with Healy last month, after the Central District premiership captain failed to return the club to the finals this season.
The former St Kilda wingman - who took over from club great Andrew Jarman at the end of 2008 - took North to fifth spot in 2009, having succumbed to Woodville-West Torrens in the elimination final. Francou will need to hit the ground running at Prospect, with Younie a key retirement and captain Damon White returning to Perth after failing to finish the last half of his four-year contract to play with the Roosters.
Dual Magarey Medallist James Allan is also out of contract, with the former Geelong under-18 star understood to be attracting the interest of rival SANFL clubs.

Re: North coach
Really happy with this appointment. Had the chance to speak to Josh over the weekend and really liked what he had to say about what he wants to bring to the club.
Bring on 2011.

Re: North coach
James Allan would be a great pick-up if he doesn't re-sign with North. But who would have the funds to snare him??

Re: North coach
will be interesting to see if all the expert advice josh has given in his column this year can now be put into effect. a former north coach still gives his expert opinion in the 'tiser and I think he took north bottom. good luck josh you're going to need it.

no good looking at central, I don't think he would fancy being number three behind wingnut and boyd.howthewestwaswon wrote:James Allan would be a great pick-up if he doesn't re-sign with North. But who would have the funds to snare him??
