Re: AFL PROGRAMME 2011
Collingwood winning the premiership will generate more cash for the AFL. They are kinda like the Man U of the AFL everyone loves them or hates them. Also why not put them at the MCG when they usually average over 60000 people there a match.

Re: AFL PROGRAMME 2011
I have no problem with them playing at the MCG but, interstate sides are harshly treated as far as playing there during the season. I think from memory Fremantle only played there once in 2010 and that was the final that they were beaten in.
All interstate sides should play there a couple of times during any given season IMO.

Re: AFL PROGRAMME 2011
Agreed Testy but the way the AFL sees it why should the club who don't generate the fans get games at the G. In a Perfect world there would be a third venue in Melbourne for these games so that the ground doesn't look as empty.

Agreed. The exemption here is of course the Melbourne footy club, who play home games at the MCG regardless, even with only 10,000 people in a 100,000 seat stadium.

The G is the home of Melbourne no matter what I was watching a Video on the old junction oval and I thought to myself why not do it up add an extra grand stand or two and make it hold 25,000 third venue with a great surface. Then teams will get used to playing outside again
