SA Football Video Archive
Some of you may be interested in this new initiative.
The SA Football Video Archive has been created with the following aims:
1. To collect footage of SANFL, State of Origin and State football matches and related material. Althought not exclusive, the emphasis is on collection of material dating up until and including the 1990's.
2. To convert footage only available on VHS/BETA video tape to DVD.
3. To build up an archive of historic footage that might otherwise be lost forever.
4. To facilitate the trading of this footage.

Re: SA Football Video Archive
A very good idea!
This is a list that the ABC gave to me when I asked what they had available on VHS and DVD...the woman told me they had a lot more in the archives plus it isn't totally correct as you can get the 2000 GF on DVD.

Another person to get in contact with is Phil Cleary...about 3 years back he had a segment during the 1/2 time break where he showed a lot of old stuff from the archives such as state league matches from the 60s-80s.

Re: SA Football Video Archive
ABC here in Perth have every game they have covered since 1990 available to buy on DVD which is prett cool.
Apparently channel seven have tapes prior to this but are being very difficult in letting the WA footy commission have access because of copyright. Lawyers are currently involved trying to sort it out. Not sure if its the same in Adelaide. Im always trying to source WAFL games from the 70`s and 80`s not just finals and GF`s but round games too and Sunday footy panels etc. I hope channel seven release our heritage someday
