Attendances at Home Games
Attendances at Home Games
Why is it when the Power Failure play at home and attract a pathetic crowd it is always highlighted by the media but last weeks home game of the Kangaroos was not mentioned, just over 16,000 people attended ?

Re: Attendances at Home Games
I think the power by melbourne wide standards aren't doing so bad.
North Melbourne and a couple of others just can't pull a crowd on their own.
Went to 3 games in Melbourne last weekend.
Port v North was one @ 16,000
Richmond v Brisbane @ the G was 37,000
Collingwood v Bulldgos was 45,000ish.
I would have pegged the latter game to pull 60,000.
So maybe a bit of perspective in comparing all grounds and clubs may give us a true picture on where the 2 SA clubs are at.
This is not to say that Port should be pulling big crowds with the brand of footy they are playing.
It is complete unadulterated disheartened rubbish.
The warm up in the rooms prior to was rubbish and they look like they need an injection of energy from somewhere.
Incessantly rotating players through the sanfl ranks won't cut it.
Saying 'get behind us we will come good' won't cut it.
Players being accountable, playing with proper honesty (from a good mental preparation) and even taking risks might get them somewhere.
I have to say some of the tactics left me gob-smacked.
Why Motlop made a beeline for the wing at every opportunity, I cannot say.
Suffice to say, that when he was in the forward 50, he did kick some goals.
I think Port truly have no idea how to play the game with the very ordinary cattle that they have. The unacceptable part is that even ordinary cattle can have a real dip.
But I can't see that happening any time soon.
