Power v Fremantle
Power v Fremantle
Just over 16,000 at AAMI yesterday. Looks like they might have to break out a few more tarpaulins to cover up the other empty sections...

Re: Power v Fremantle
Matt Primus is taking the traditional rebuilding tack of promoting his youth.
No major issue with that, but how long can these below average performances continue before 16000 becomes 15000, becomes......etc.
If say, Chad is the best available option, then play him I reckon.
If selecting the best team to be in a position to win is not the focus, then promoting kids en masse is going to be a very very slow process, with much pain for Power fans.
The Power will need to very carefully manage rebuilding v sacrificing winning opportunities.
Fans will accept rebuilding only for so long and if there seems no light at the end of the tunnel, they will continue to vote with their feet.
Can the Power afford for that to happen at this point?

The possitive to being bottom is that there is only one way to go.
I saw the first Qtr. then we put on a movie, much more entertaining.

Re: Power v Fremantle
How many people have a player from Port Adelaide in their Supercoach team? Not to many I suspect because the are few players from the Power that rack up high possessions and can take a game apart. I feel this is the area that Port struggle the most in, their best players are not superstar players of which each team should have 2 or 3 to build the side around. If Port are to be successful they will need to trade for some high quality players to take the captaincy and leadership of the side.
Crows have exactly the same problem though!

Re: Power v Fremantle
They might as well begin to play back at Alberton...
Does all this mean that many Port fans are bandwagoners and can't hack watching a once proud side lose so often by so much??
