AAMI Park

Post by howthewestwaswon on Wed 20 Jul 2011, 8:58 pm

I've just recently come back from Melbourne where I went to see the mighty Victory take on the filth that is Celtic. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Despite the wrong result (Victory played really well however), I have to say that I was VERY impressed with AAMI Park. They even fixed the roof too, the wife and I did not get wet at all (in contrast to opening night). If you travel to watch your team, make sure you go watch them at AAMI Park, a fantastic soccer venue! Very Happy

Celtic won 1-0. Corner kick scramble goal in 78th minute by Scott Brown (Celtic captain). Could have been a 3-3 draw with the keepers for both sides in very fine form.

Forgot to mention, I was the only idiot brave enough to wear ALL his RANGERS gear to the game. Sh*t, DID I COP IT!!! Plenty of it was friendly banter though, and many Celtic supporters could thankfully see the light-heartedness of it all.

I had one guy who is also a Gers supporter come up to me at half-time and thank me for it. He spotted me from the other side of the ground with his binoculars! He had blue Cons on and told me that was as much as he could wear without fear of being set upon. Very Happy Very Happy
