WAFL Rd 21
Today East Fremantle (5th) beat West Perth (Top) up in Geraldton by 19pts (4 and a half hours North of Perth), Subi with a 10 goal final term thrashed East Perth at Leederville by 65pts in the twilight game and South Freo beat Peel by 23 pts at Freo in the other twilight game.
Tommorow at Claremont oval Claremont play Swan Districts..hopefully the mighty Black and Whites can restore some pride, we could go from last to 6th with a 4 or 5 goal win. On paper we have a really good side in.
I might wear my premiership shirt from last year for one last chance to rub Claremonts nose in it!

Claremont beat Swan Districts by 54 points.
If only the SANFL could manage to get a side go from top to bottom we'd all be happy. Except Central supporters.

Re: WAFL Rd 21
Swandog, out of interest how many AFL listed players would play in the WAFL each week. (approx.)
Here in SA we have the same thing where they are in and out of there respective SANFL teams from week to week. Including rookies there would be 20, maybe even more.

Re: WAFL Rd 21
Gday Testy, we have between 15 and 20 AFL listed players in the WAFL each week and it seems the majority of them are with East Fremantle and Claremont, not by design, just the way it has panned out this year.
This year since the two clubs were lobbying for AFL ressies teams in the WAFL they have been holding players out of the WAFL on a few occasions, thus the player misses out altogether.
Last week we had a situation where a Perth player was named for Fremantle, travelled to Melb, didnt make the cut and then flew straight back to play WAFL. The only problem was knowone seemed to tell Perth and they didnt want to alter their structures etc at very short notice, so they didnt play him which caused a bit of friction.
Not sure what the solution is really

Solution? AFL bring back their own reserves comp and stay the hell away from our state leagues!

Yeh true!..i reckon we (Swan Districts) play better when the AFL players arent in our side (we have 2 Dockers who get dropped every 2nd week) It disrupts team stability

Comment of the day I agree 100%. Teams are starting to look at having their own VFL teams nowdays.
