Player rumours 2012

I know the season has not ended but there are a few names being floated around already for 2012 in relation to where they will play .

Bearing in mind they are rumours and most don't know but it's worth discussing ifwe hear some names so post away.

From a Sturt perspective 2 names have been mentioned in Ben Warren and McIntyre from North.

Warren was mentioned last year and Sturt don't need an ageing forward who never reached great heights anyway and McIntyre is an average player.

Warren will train over pre season though.

Sturt need some height in the backlines , another ruckman and a bit of speed. These two don't fit that and if they do come it should not be at the expense of recruiting others , in other words I wouldn't being paying them much. Lessons should have been learnt with recent recruits .

Not a rumour but a hope.

Now that Coady has been delisted by the Suns, hopefully he feels the need to go from red to blue.

I hope the club is on the phone to him right now.

I am also hopeful Josh Cubillo will have to find a new number next season.

Agree on both fronts but have my doubts on both as well. 1 has a job that moved him away and 1 may have a job that will keep him away !!

Sturt expect Coad to stay. Expect an announcement on Sheedy soon.

Ben Warren will play with Norwood next year.

yeah wasnt a bad player on his day!!.....but i reckon he was carryin more weight than Homer Simpson!!...

I didn't think he ever made the most of his potential. Certainly has had a reasonable journey throughout his footy career though. Good luck to a former SMC lad from another.

Good news !! Interesting thouugh as he had agreed to do preseason at Sturt. Maybe Sturt weren't offering a contract and just seeing how he would go.

Winning a flag with Langhorne Creek may have rekindled the passion. I thought he retired way too early...
