Semi Finals Day 2011
Today in the first semi $ubiaco def South Frem by 85 points and in the 2nd Semi Claremont def West Perth also by 85 points.
Next Sunday is a cut throat Prelim final at Joondalup (West Perths hm) West Perth v $ubiaco.
From what i witnessed today at Claremont West Perth would have to transform dramatically if they are to earn a rematch with The Tigers.
But last year we (Swans) lost the 2nd semi at Claremont by 50 points and rd 21 3 weeks earlier by 73 also at Claremont only to winthe big one by a point after to beating East Perth by 38pts in the prelim at hm to earn the right.
It can be turned around and Bill Monaghan has 7 days to do it.
Stay tuned!

Interesting to note that Claremont gave West Perth a bit of a hiding, it shows playing in the Foxtel cup was not a hindrance to their season.

Yeh Claremont are all class, and $ubi look like the only team that can challenge..but i say beware the wounded Falcons as they can produce when their backs are up against it! They will want to win at least 1 final as they havnt won a final since the 2003 GF

Swandog, I know Byron Schammer has retired from the AFL (Freo) and is staying in Perth --will he continue to play for Claremont next year ?

Re: Semi Finals Day 2011
Storms predicted for Perth tommorow at the Prelin final and $ubiacos numb 1 ruckman Michael Rix done an ACL and his career is finished, he is the best ruckman in the comp and i think that will be enough to swing it West Perths way..the weather will make it a classic tight contest
