Country bakeries

Went through Meningie down south on the Coorong road and i must say Meningie has one of the best bakeries iv'e come across...i didn't try the pasties but the beef and mushroom and beef cheese and bacon pies were superb. The best iv'e had in a long time.
The bakery is situated in the middle of town, down just before Foodland and is in a small group of shops just off the main road. Worth the visit if your down that way.

Port Elliot bakery I've heard from our drivers is also good

Kitchener Buns at Pop Kiplings at Pt Wakefield are easily the best in Australia!

I used to travel a lot around the state with my former job and came across many fantastic country bakeries, too many to mention, everything baked on there own premisses, ah what memories.
