Re: Problems at Norwood?
Tend to agree with you Bayman , who votes the boards in ? I am sceptical and concerned that it is not a transparent process. There are Sturt board memebers that I have a little knowledge of and I am not sure I want them.
The weak answer is I should read the consitution and attend the AGM but can all attend and does that make them a "less passionate" member ?
I know not . The numbers would on average read about 3-5% of members attend an AGM.
I recall and could be wrong , that all members received via post a nomination form to vote for a board member. Now if I don't do that well that's my responsibility. As it stands now I as a paying member and potentially have no say.
What clubs do not need creeping in like it has with the media coverage , is amateurs taking up semi professional roles. We dont need our comp cheapened which I fear is ocurring and potentially ruins clubs.
If all Glenelg members as an example voted via ballot , would Metcalf still be involved ?

Glenelg didn't require a voting as Gary was the only nomination for President, and there were only 2 nominations for the 3 Board postions available, so a ballot wasn't required there either.
But to answer your question, In my opinion, yes Gary Metcalf would still be involved if a vote was required.
