reading the paper it is free entry to saturdays Ryobi cup grand final & i believe that the free entry is a smart move imho, 2,000 to 3,000 crowd may now get up to 8,000-10,000 which off course creates great atmosphere, a good look on tv & vocal support for the players

Well done to the Redbacks....a draw was enough to take the cup.
Redbacks 285 - Tigers 285 in front of just over 10,000 fans, a very exciting finish which went down to the last ball...

Are you kidding?? Damn!
10,000 is good considering the weather you've been having. I saw the daytime highlights on the 6pm news last night and it looked bare, even though entry was free.

the crowd built up at the break, i thought there was 3,500-4,000 there for the first dig & i thought there was about 9,000-10,000 there for the evening session
i thought given the pitch was a belter 285 was about 20 short, but it proved to be 'just' enough, was entertaining throughout the whole match & i thought(at the time) that Klinger bowled Lyon 2 overs too many, however we got the choccies & that's all that matters, highlights for me was Harris, Klinger, Ponting & Bailey's batting & although he bowls darts O'brien & obviously Putlands last over was a beauty under real pressure, while it was hot i'm glad i went there for the match
