Edwardstown move to the SFL

I was chatting to a chap that plays for Edwardstown at the Norwood / Port match at the Parade on Friday night and he tells me that Edwardstown have made the move out of the Amauter league and into the Southern Football League. I had heard this was rumoured to be going to happen but thought it had all been shut down and wasnt going to happen? Anyone know why the club made the decision to change?

They were sliding in the Amateur league and I sense its about survival . The decision was made a while ago to have them in the SFL

Looks like its going alright, 2 wins in a row and they knocked off Pt Noarlunga on the weekend!

The Towns drew with Morphett Vale at their home match last weekend, three wins and a draw so far, clearly they are shaping to be the dominant side of the competition, will be interesting to see how they go against the Emus at their home ground next time!
