South East Footy Leagues 2009 (MSE, KNT, WB)

Post by FOOTYnut on Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:55 pm

Whats the latest in these 3 leagues for season 2009?

Will Keith continue on as trendsetters in the KNTFL despite the likely loss of Tony Modra?

With several clubs reportedly losing players in the MSEFL (including Tantanoola's reigning Mail Medallist to the WB league), Hatherleigh will be looking at back to back premierships.

Will any of the SA clubs in the WB League be able to challenge the Vic clubs in 09.

Anyone know of any news in SE footy?

grandfinals have been done and dusted in the mid south east league with the mt burr mossies taking out both the seniors and reserves grand finals.

seniors
mt burr 11.8 74
port mcdonald 9.13 67

reserves
mt burr 15.9 99
robe 8.11 59

the western border league grand final will be held next week with west gambier, who havent won a grandfinal for about 30 years, playing millicent.

one other thing, the western border medel has been won with ex glenelg player justin mcconnell taking home the medal with 21 votes ahead of marcus england from portland on 20

in answer to your question about sanfl players down here fb, we manly have alot of ex glenelg players down here with this being a glenelgs recruiting area, tom holmes is another player who comes to mind playing for west gambier nest saturday.

The western border grand final was played this week with west gambier beating millicent by three points in what has been described as the closest grand final in the last 30 years.

west gambier 11.8 72
millicent 10.9 69

the other grand final played in the upper south east league[ kowree naracoorte tatiara] saw naracoorte take home the choclates over kybybolite

narracoorte 15.14 104
kybybolite 11.7 73

thats it for all the leagues in the south east
